Youth Group

The GCC Youth Group meets each Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 PM for a teen-oriented Bible study and discussion.

"But what about food?! Any games?? Will I even be able to have any fun?".

Let me put it this way, if you're here on a Wednesday night, anywhere inside the building, and you don't hear ANY laughter, our Youth has either planned to meet at someones home, or it may have been cancelled. Just check out some of their videos & pictures in our 'Grace In Action' gallery!

Oh, and yes, there is food provided every Wednesday, and it's sure to be good times!

These classes offer a unique opportunity for teens to learn about the Bible among their peers, and to interact with one another on issues related to living the Christian life. We try to leave all of our topics open for questions, opinions, discussion, as well as a chance to peacefully challenge certain Christian ideologies that many teens often struggle & disagree with these days, in order to give them opportunities to better understand how/what/why we believe what seems to be the "IMPOSSIBLE!".

Sometimes, even when families do not fully embrace the claims of the Christian faith, there is still a great desire to expose our Youth to the virtues and morality that Christianity embraces. Young people find confidence and security in learning that there are clear lines between right and wrong, and that there is purpose in following Christ, as well as purpose for life outside of oneself. These things are taught in creative ways that are geared for the various age groups.

There is also a Youth Bible Study on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9 a.m.

Parents who wish to bring their teens and children for Christian education, will also have a place to go, if so desired. Adult Bible Fellowship Classes are offered at the same time.

Classes on Sundays end at approximately 9:45 A.M. giving an opportunity for families to re-unite and attend the Worship Service which begins at 10:00 A.M.

Children's Activities

Children's Church is offered for the age group that encompasses kindergarten through fifth grade.

The children come to the 10:00 worship service with their parents so that families may enjoy the first part of the service together. In the first part of the service there is a lot of music, and even for those who may not know the songs, the music is enjoyable to hear. The words of the songs are always displayed by Power Point onto a large screen so that all may sing along!

Then, prior to the sermon, the children are dismissed for their own time of Bible learning. It is always exciting to see the children happily following their teacher to their class!

Once in the class, the children learn in various ways, including fun activities. Some times the children may play games or make a craft that will help them learn about the Bible, as well as how to apply these lessons in their own lives. On occasion, the children will bring home materials (written Bible stories, Bible quizzes, etc.) that they received in Children's Church, which gives parents a great opportunity to interact with the children on various topics. These services are well attended and the kids love it.
